Depending on where you live, your age, and your background, you may not be familiar with registering for baby showers. At first it might seem a little odd, but it's actually a really good idea, especially if you plan on having a large baby shower.

When you're running down the checklist of baby gifts you'd like to have, don't just check everything that falls under the Luxury Baby Gifts category. Just because Aunt Martha hit the jackpot last year doesn't mean everyone has the means to buy gold encrusted personalized burp cloths!
Some people feel like a baby registry is the same as advertising what you want for gifts. Well, it is, but in a good way. People don't have time to waste and they appreciate knowing what you want.
